My computer froze when an app was trying to open.! App is still running.! Wont ler me click to close on anything.! Help.

Went to open an app.. Computer froze on the app. waiting to open.Won't let me close !

Hi, push Ctrl,Alt,Del at the same time and in the lower right, click the close button. If it's not working, force the laptop to close by maintaining the power button.
