My gaming laptop can't play anymore.

Hi I bought a laptop since 2015 and i used to play with it GTA5 and it used to run smoothly i'd be playing day and night with no problem, recently my laptop started acting strange some line on the screen pops up sometimes and the screen flashes purple colors and it'll be normal again but when i start playing games it'd be okay for a while then later on it starts to lag so bad like my fps from 90-110 goes to 0 literally 0 and it's annoying idk what to do i was gonna reformat it but then i would like to ask one last question before i do, my laptop doesn't overheat that much. What is really wrong with my laptop?

2TB Hard drive
GeForce GTX [strike]850[/strike]960M
Intel Core i7

it's an Acer aspire v nitro 15

Could be overheating, could be failing video card. Did you check temps in the system? You said does not overheat that much, any overheating is bad. It's like saying "I am bleeding but did not get shot that much". What are the temps during load?

No not overheating at all just normal temps but if it's overheating what do you think i should do?

Tell us what you're temperatures are, while playing and while not playing.
