Ill do my best to help ya through it. I need to know the specs of your system though.
What kind of graphics card do you have in your computer?
What is your operating system? Windows 7 or 10?
Do you have just one monitor or do you have dual monitors?
Have you tried a different monitor that has HDMI? If could be the monitor not the computer.
Was anything installed right before the HDMI quit working?

Click on the "Windows key" on...

Try to update the drivers to your graphics card. If that doesn't work then try updating drivers to your computer with windows updates.

Also look in device manager and see if you have any yellow cautions.

Click on the "Windows key" on your keyboard, in between the Ctrl and Alt keys on the bottom left, and type in "device manager" and that should bring up what you need there, click on that and when the windows comes up the yellow exclamations should automatically be there.
Not seeing any yellow exclamation marks is good, but in device manager find a thing called "Display Adapters" and click on the drop down arrow. Right click on the adapters inside this category and click on "Update Driver Software" and then click on "Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software".

If all that comes back good, then close out device manager and hit the "windows key" button again and type in "windows update" click on that and when that window opens up click on something that will say "Check for updates".

Let me know how that goes and well go from there.
