Question My hp 8.1 is not connecting to the internet, but my internet works

Bare in mind that i am not some sort of tech genius, so please be really patient with me when helping me. I have a windows 8.1, and it suddenly just stopped connevting to the internet. It shows the ethernet symbol, and says, not connected, no connections available

Is there a reason you are with 8.1 and not 10?
Have you performed troubleshooting on your connection?

what browser(s) are you using & if more the then 1, do they all have same issue or not?
