OK... try this to "Reset your TCP/IP"...

1. Press the "Windows" key and in the search box type "CMD" (without the " marks) and hit enter.

2. When you see "CMD" or "Command Prompt" in the results list, right-click on it and choose "Run as Administrator."

3. When the new window loads, first type in "netsh winsock reset" (without the " marks) and then hit enter.

4. You should get a message saying you need to restart the computer. Ignore this message for the moment.

5. Now type "netsh int ip reset" (without the " marks) and then hit enter.

6. Once that is done, close this window and reboot your computer.

You can also try the following, if the above doesn't work and after the computer restarts:

A. Press the "Windows" key and in the search box type "CMD" (without the " marks) and hit enter.

B. When you see "CMD" or "Command Prompt" in the results list, right-click on it and choose "Run as Administrator".

C. When the new window loads, type "ipconfig /release" (without the " marks) and hit Enter.

D. Then type "ipconfig /renew" (without the " marks) and hit Enter.

E. Once that is done, close this window and reboot your computer.

Try the following and see if it helps...

First, make sure your laptop is 'not' connected to the modem/router via an Ethernet cable and follow the steps:

1. Go to "Control Panel".

2. Next go to "Network and Internet" and then "Network and Sharing".

3. Now click on "Manage Wireless Networks".

4. On this screen, remove all wireless connections by "right clicking" on it and select "Remove network" from the drop down menu.

5. After doing this, close the oepn windows and reboot the computer.

6. Once the computer is fully reloaded, scan for the "Wi-Fi networks".

7. Click on the available network that you want to access and select "connect".

8. It takes a moment, but then you will be asked to give a password for your Wi-Fi connection. Type in the password and click the "connect" button.

It should now be connected.

NOTE: If this doesn't work, you may want to reset your modem/router, and then once it is fully loaded again, repeat the above steps. And yes, even if other devices can connect to it, sometimes it needs to be restarted to make it work with a single device.

Thank you for your response. It's still not working. It's windows 10. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Hi, I am experiencing the same problem as mentioned above. I was trying your method but my laptop does not have "Manage Wireless Networks" so do you know any other ways to remove network?
