My lamp continues to overheat, and I can't seem to fix it. The fan is working well,but I don't know how fast its supposed to m

My Sony Wega TV turns on for about 5 minutes and then shuts down. After, I feel the fan and it's really how. I just replaced the lamp, so could it be the fan. It works well, but I don't know how fast it's supposed to move. Please respond if you have any ideas or suggestions.

Since you seem comfortable working inside the set try a table or pc fan to cool the lamp. If that keeps the set running then the fan may be the issue.
There may be a problem with the circuit that powers the lamp. That would cause it to shut down too.
