My laptop battery drains fast

I have bought a new battery a few months ago (6 months, I think) or even one year, (I am not really sure) because of my old battery, that got only 30 minutes or so untill it reaches zero. The problem is, even the new battery drains fast!
What should I do?

This is really subjective to how you use the laptop and what kind of laptop it is. There are general guidelines to go by for battery power conservation, but depending on the hardware in the laptop and the quality of the battery, battery life between each cycle varies widely.

It all depends on what you use it for and for how long. You can also check to see if your laptop is on "Performance Mode", if it is change it to "Power Saving Mode".

Look up battery calibration steps for your laptop, or provide your model / make here and someone will provide you the steps to calibrate. This is where I would start before laying down $$$

Well, okay then.

There is free battery calibration software out there, but calibration software will not dramatically increase your battery life, if at all. It's simply a tool to give you battery health status and educate you on how to take better care of the battery to prolong it over the long haul.
