Solution
Hi there Anders S,

I would agree with popatim. Most probably, you laptop is overheating. You can run some software tools that can measure the temps.
If this is the case, you will need to clean the dust out and reapply thermal paste.

If your laptop is not overheating, you will need to troubleshoot your other components as well.
You can:
- Test your HDD: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
- Some RAM testing will not hurt.
- Observe Resource Monitor and see if you are getting high usage of something during gaming.

TO add to the list of possibility,

Scan and fix malware
scan and fix viruses
make sure battery is installed
make sure power plan is in performance mode.
make sure all drivers up to date, graphics etc.

I find that these are common issues most people face. Please let us know what you've done so far and what you suspect is the problem.

Do the following steps:

Uninstall your current gpu drivers in contorl panel.

Then download the latest version of ddu. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-unin...

Open ddu and reboot into safe mode.

Select the first option, clean and clean and restart.

Turn your computer back on, download the latest nvidia drivers.

Install them.

You should be good to go now.
