I would agree with popatim. Most probably, you laptop is overheating. You can run some software tools that can measure the temps.
If this is the case, you will need to clean the dust out and reapply thermal paste.
If your laptop is not overheating, you will need to troubleshoot your other components as well.

- Some RAM testing will not hurt.
- Observe Resource Monitor and see if you are getting high usage of something during gaming.
