Personally, I would try an external keyboard and mouse, if you haven't already tried them. (E.G. a simple USB keyboard or mouse, it doesn't matter if it's wireless or not.) If this doesn't help, I would try to boot from a Windows (if your laptop runs windows) CD/DVD, or from a bootable USB stick. Hope this helps!
