battery could be low or out of service see if she get a charge when you plug on ac check user manual to find how to check

It could be dead battery or charging mechanism is broken...

U could try hwmonitor it could probe the battery wear level and charging or not.. (not accurate but works fine), or u can also see it in battery icon on sysbar ........
