My Lenovo laptop's wifi is working fine but get booted often with new fios router

Lenovo laptop with windows 8.1 drops connection often since I got the new FIOS router. My wireless is working properly. Didn't have this problem with the dsl box. Need help please.

Both 2.4GHz?

Separation distance? Any walls, doors or floors in between? How many users?
