Hello, My LG 49LF5400 TV has no audio output and I didn´t noticed that until days later I tried to check this availability. I don´t want nothing bigger, I just want to connect it to a soundbar using a stereo P2 audio plug. This soundbar has one P2 input to connect ipods, mp3 players and similars.

Could I disassemble the TV and then wire the TV speakers direct to a stereo P2 plug to connect it to the sound bar?

Thankx in advance.

Not really, the speakers output are amplified and the soundbar is going to expect a more line level signal. Might work depending on how the soundbar handles the signal, but seems like a lot of work.

Thank you getochkn, sorry for asking but I read many articles about and I have doubts. I once read that RCA are already amplified, so it would work if I wire a RCA plug on each speaker (left/right)?

I didn´t bought the soundbar yet and I just thought it would be the only way to connect the TV once I understand the HDMI and optical options are impossible and I don´t want to have an external receiver.

Thankx again.

RCA is just a jack. It has nothing to with with being aplified or not and can be both. Your TV doesn't even have HDMI or anything on it does it?

It´s a bad TV set for connectivity, if I would know that there was TV sets like these I would never bought it. But now that I have it, I am trying to find a way.

I found this article, http://janeandjohn.org/pages/soundmod.html. Do you know if it instructs correctly? Here says that wattage isn´t critical, so could I assemble it without them?

:) Thank you once more.
