Question my macbook pro wont lode after i put the pasword in it stops working

my laptop wont work after i put the password in it just dose nothing but stays on the loading bar I tried everything what should i do its a 2012 laptop refurbished i need it for online collage this week

after I put in the password in my apple mack pro-2012 that I got refurbished the ldoing bar comes up then it stops working and wont log me in i need this laptop for collge on te 20th i tried evreything what do i do
