My mother's metro phone won't allow her to make calls, and when received it goes straight to voicemail. Her bill is currently

This is about my mother's metro phone. Not sure her make or modle.her bill is currently up to date and paid, she gets good signal where she lives too. But it wil l not allow her to make calls and when someone calls her it goes directly to voicemail. She just starting having this problem. Not to mention she cannot send/ download MMS. She has been having that problem for some time now, when calling tech support all they said was to get a new memory card. She did and nothing has changed. Her mobile data is turned on. Has anyone had these problems as well? Anybody have any pointers or tips? Restarting her phone did not work.

My wife's phone had a similar issue with MetroPCS, for about a week it would not ring. She reset it, contacted support, after a few days it just started working again.
