So I lost my mobile phone and I need help finding it. I tried all the apps that exist on the web to get it back, but they all require my GPS to be turned on (which it wasn't) or they need my mobile number, which I didn't have at the time. So what other way is there to get it back? It's locked and I do have my IMEI no. No survice provider, no app to track it. So Please suggest me some other way to find it!

Hi there,

I'm afraid much like everyone else I should inform you that your phone is most likely lost.

However there are a few suggestions I can make that you can look into, just bear in mind that this will require quick action because once your battery dies so does your hope of getting it back.

Firstly, depending on your mobile OS, I have heard of a few apps that are able to remotely turn on your GPS to help with that issue.
SMS GPS Enabler is the Android version that Google showed up but it has some serious limitations.

Also I'm sure your contacts could help with giving you your mobile number to help with the tracking.

Finally, I know It's not much help in this particular situation but the best way to solve these problems is being proactive before hand. If you get your phone back or if you get a new one, ensure you install a tracking app and keep it useable. Apple have the Find my iPhone app already installed just needing setting up and android have a string of choices which will all do the same and more. Find the one which suits you best.

Good luck in your search, here's hoping it turns up.

How do you not have your own mobile number when asked?

Contact your wireless carrier for assistance. We can't help otherwise.
