My pioneer rc-914 remote isn't working with my Pioneer receiver anymore. I just had my receiver repaired. What is the problem?

What can I do if my pioneer rc-914R remote fails to operate my Pioneer VSX-LX101. I just had the receiver repaired.

mentions something about the remote being set for zone 2 operation and how to change it back.
"After operating the Multi-zone function (for compatible models only), the remote controller may have switched to the mode for operating ZONE output audio. Check "Multi-zone" in "Playback" in the Basic Manual to switch the remote controller back to the mode for operating in the main room."

I recently had the same problem. I was able to fix it while holding down MODE, press clear button (repeat symbol bottom left corner on remote) until the remote indicator flash twice (about 3 seconds) as instructed on page 23 of the manual.

Thank u my pioneer remote control stoped working and I was about to buy a new one but ur instructions worked to resetting the remote control ([hold {clear+Zone} 3seconds]
