My plasma tv will sometimes ut on by its self

Hello,
my plasma will do fine for weeks but sometimes with no warning it will just cut its self on.often in the middle of the night. also ocasionally when its on the picture will go but sound still remains.is it even worth getting an estament or getting it fixed.it will cost 125.00 to have it looked at,

Hmm, could be ghosts!

Actually it could be various things, such as the power going out and the TV coming on when the power comes back. Or even a nasty neighbor with a convex mirror and programmable remote, if the TV is near a window.

I used to have a Sharp Aquos TV with a TV Guide type of program schedule that got updated from the cable company, and I had set it to automatically come on whenever a particular program was broadcast. Forgot all about it, went on vacation and sure enough the TV was on 2 weeks later when I got home, as I had forgot to set the auto-off feature where it turns off if no commands received in 4 hours. Dunno if your TV has anything similar since you didn't mention brand & model..
