My safe mode to my toshiba is not working

ma computer wont turn on and i tried everything from f8 2 the recovery disk to the windows disk 2 f2 what should i do do u kno what bottons 2 press

Did you use F8 just once? Keep tapping on F8 as soon as the power comes on.
