My samsung galaxy s6 is showing that its charging but the percentage is still stuck on one place for hours please help

Try turning it off and charging it then. See if it actually complete charges. If, when you turn it on, it still says the same thing, then I would try another charger. Should that even not work, then you would need to consider replacing the battery.
