My Skyrim and other games sometimes crash my computer.

I have an Alien-ware laptop. i got it for my 12th birthday last year. It has been crashing without warning Every time i play the standard, or special edition of skyrim. And I'm guessing this is a problem with the fan. I thought it was just a issue with Skyrim for it crashing. But guild wars 2, an MMO i was playing, i was making a character when it all of the sudden crashed. Skyrim only seemed to crash when my laptop got really warm. again, I'm guessing it's an issue with the fan. And it's overheating.
If anyone has any tips or solutions i will be so thankful.

Use a program like HWMonitor to check internal temps. If the fan is really broken, then it is in your best interest to get it fixed ASAP. Excess heat can cause permanent damage so get your parents to send it in for warranty service. If it is no longer under warranty, then bring it into a repair shop. The cost to fix the problem is far less than buying a new laptop.
