Solved! My speaker started smoking after one week ..what could it be

I was bumping my 10 inch kicker sub woofer in my car when all of a sudden it stopped so I went in the back trunk to see what was going on to , my surprise the speaker had smoke coming out of it now I'm wondering what it could be can someone please help ....thanks

Either you put too many watts to it and burnt it up or something was wired improperly

sounds like a short to ground to me.

Well I have to see if I burned it out or its a ground or short it was working for a week with no problems so I'm thinking I burned it out possibly I will take it to the shop that installed my system thanks for your imput
