My speakers aren't working right

Recently my case's 3.5 jack cracked. My father cut its wires. Since then I've been using my 5.1 speakers but the front and rear ones don't work correctly. The sound coming from them is really really faint. I connected my genetic no - brand headset to the speaker's jack and the problem persists. I can't hear voices or in FPS games I can't hear my own footsteps or weapon. Usually my stereo headset sounds 7.1, think it's because the motherboard. It is a Gigabyte h170 gaming 3. I tried looking in the settings but I found nothing that could cause it.

Not trying to be funny but now you are dealing with stuff beyond what a hobbyist who only knows how to put lego pieces that suppose to fit together. This is not setting, it sounds like a broken hardware miss-wire somewhere.
