My speakers Buzz and crackle when plugged into my pc

Today i bought some logitech z200 speakers. I plugged em' in and powered them up and straight away heard crackling while playing music and playing games especially on high pitched or deep base notes.

I tried everything from putting a ferrite core/bead on the cable. trying a new outlet for the pc and speakers. reseting my pc. trying back and front panel audio connectors and nothing is working.

I tried plugging the speakers into my ipod and they worked perfectly so i know that the problem isn't with the speakers,

I have tried all day and got no good results.

please help.

Try getting a sound card for the computer and use that with the speakers.

Thanks so much. At first i wasn't gong to try the soundcard again because i've tried it before but i gave it another try.
