Every couple of weeks a post on AVSForum gets through with the acronym
"COFDM" without being deleted. Usually they will try saying the "C" word
but in this case COFDM came through intact. At least for now.
"Shots from the cars are solid." ...."The microwave from the cars is now
digital COFDM. What a difference!"

"Fox HD feeds all look about the same (KTXL-HD Sacto, 88 and 89 via D*
and WJBK Detroit via *C). HD and 5.1 very good. SD shots so-so.
As expected, many cameras are SD, but at least they are maintaining 16:9
with them. Wasn't too long ago, when they switched to an SD camera, the
picture popped down to 4:3. Very annoying. Shots from the cars are
solid. Again, not too many years ago, what few camera cars they had were
full of multi-path and breakup. The microwave from the cars is now
digital COFDM. What a difference!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all benefit from COFDM like the rest of
the world? The US is stuck in painsville trying to make do with
technology that belongs on the scrapheap of history.
