I recently have had two pairs of turtle beach headsets and one after a few years sound went out on. then I recently picked up the Turtle Beach Stealth 500P and they were os cheaply made that the sides cracked not even after 3 months. Sent them in got repaired and same thing again cracked. So i am fed up with cheaply made plastic gaming headsets and will not go back to a turtle beach.

My budget is around $50 to $100 bucks and want something with good bass levels and clear sound. I really don't care for the typical surround sound. I would like something that is durable and not cheap plastic. I know I can get a separate mic boom too. I have a big head too so would need to fit comfortable.

Just looking for some recommendations since I am not a Audio nut. Much help would be appreciated.

I'm not an expert in sound, but I have tried a few headsets that I think might work well for you.

I suggest buying the G430 gaming headset from Logitech, it has surround sound built in (if you use the USB sound card). Even though it only has 40mm drivers the base levels far outclass anything I've ever heard from a gaming headset. My corsair vengeance 1500v2 has 50mm drivers but the 40mm drivers in the Logitech headset sound so much better.

I am looking more then just a gaming headset. I have looked at the Logitech but still not set on a plastic gaming headset. I need something durable and comfortable to wear when I have my glasses on.
