Need a programming laptop?

Hello,I would to buy a laptop that can be able to linux, PHP as I am a engineering student.
My previous laptop was a HP G62 and I didn't have wireless installed for my Ubuntu. I could not browse via ubuntu and that use to be an headache because so many of my work was base on linux so I always have to switch to windows to access the internet.

I need a simple one not to expensive and I am not using for games.
Please advise.

So your problem is that you bought the last laptop without checking what hardware it has to verify that there's linux drivers available.

if you look around at refurbished laptops, sometimes they put linux on so they dont have to pay the licensing cost for windows. if all you need to do is run linux to learn & test code, something like that should probably be fine??
