the thing about sound cards is they all are, seriously there has only been 1 come out in the past 2 years i believe. it is the asus rog phoebus but it is a gaming sound card with gaming software. so dont worry about it being dated, their all old not much has changed in sound cards. im gonna hop off here. hope i gave ya some good input

i would choose the logitech as i prefer 5.1 in games and movies if you have them setup properly around your desk it really gives accurate depiction of sound. ie if some one shot in a game i would hear it to my back right...or wherever they was. same for movies. its subwoofer it extremeley powerful. i just prefer 5.1 over 2.1

if your not into 5.1 then the corsairs are for you as it provides the loud bass you want, with less setup and wires and
satellite speakers taking up your desk area

i believe both are thx certified and both have self amplified speakers. my personal preference is 5.1

just make sure you have an open pci slot on your mobo for the sound card

whelp if you pony up might as well go with the essence if your a true audiophile, but in testing the titanium was right below it the sample rate is doubled in the essense and the snr is higher by 2 decibels, so if you want the clearest crispest sound you have ever heard go with essense, if you dont mind saving 30 dollars and getting second best go with the titanium

for bass you want the lowest frequency range and bot of these cars are a low of 10hz, it just generates the sound signal amplifier of the boom is in the sub itself. but to be short the y both have the same ranges in frequencies 10hz to 90 khz

alright how is the software support for the essence? i love the creative entertainment console for audio adjustments, and how does my sound card match up to the two that you suggested?

do you just have onboard audio, or an actual card? if it is onboard audio you should have got a card a loooooooooooooong time ago. because even the best onboard....SUCKS, compared to a high end card.

haha my computer came shipped with a generic realtek device, and i'm not even sure if it was a card or not, and the device manager only called it realtek hd audio manager. so i got a Creative USB Sound Blaster X-Fi HD. I know everyone says to go with PCI rather than a USB card but i was really lazy when i was fixing up the computer lol

meh...screw the critics. but seriously the software suites and just the sound is freaking ridiculous. music insane..movies better than imax...and the games ooooohhhh the games it is a really good upgrade if you go with either one. since the specs are so close i would probably go with the titanium...but hey if you got the extra 30 and you want the best of the best. then pull the trigger
