Need help choosing a laptop that I found that are in my price range.

I'm not going to comment on the technical details of AMD APUs, but if you do a quick search on Tom's and elsewhere you'll come across a host of users reporting very slow performance with A9 up to A12. This includes Lenovo's 300-series. Applications will either run frustratingly slowly or multi-tasking is reduced significantly.

No real explanation is available, whether from users or AMD. Technically, the laptop still works, which means that it's difficult to convince the manufacturer or the retailer that your device is 'faulty'.

From what I've read it seems that if you happen to be quite tech-savvy, you can adjust and tweak the APU package to remedy some of this. But if you're a regular PC user/consumer, this will be a very risky undertaking.
