Need help deciding on a gaming laptop

So for college, my parents got me a surface pro 3. Now I do have to say, it does play a few games pretty 'okay' at low-medium settings but I was thinking of saving my money up to buy a high performance laptop to play my games at higher settings OTG. What laptop would you recommend? "Please note I already have a high performance desktop I built but I'd be doing quite a bit of traveling off campus so this is why I was thinking of this, because my desktop would be in my dorm room while I was away."
