Need help, Do I need a sound card?

My motherboard is the ASUS z170 pro gaming aura,https/www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING-AURA/


Would i need a soundcard to get the best audio?

i believe that model comes with its own soundcard so nothing else would be needed.

with that said, those small soundcards which come with the pc363d and similar are generally not so good... so a soundcard with good quality and virtual surround capabilities would be better. xonar dx perhaps or if on the cheap a xonar dg would work.

if the 373 is anything like the 363 its bass light and overpriced when comparing it to other products. for instance you can get an ad700x and modmic (which is a bass light option) for cheaper or the hd598 + modmic (which is a neutral option) for cheaper as well. even the game one (hd518 + mic) is cheaper. just food for thought.
