Need help finding good headphone that won't break easily.

I'm looking for people who have used their headphones for a long time, 1-2 years ++, and have had no problems with it. The reason I'm asking is all my headphones so far have always gotten spoilt, not audio wise, but in terms of the leather cushioning. It always either gets shredded or the cushioning comes off, which I hate. Audio quality should also be good, and it would be even better if it had a built in mic. I know I can just go and research all of this, but I'm asking mainly for "experience" (I didn't know how to phrase it, I'm looking for people who have used their headphones for long and it's still well intact). Over the last maybe 1.5 years I've used my ATH M40X's as my portable headphones. I've changed the stock pads to some HM5 pleather pads, and the cable have been changed. Although this is due to better comfort and a 'nicer' cable.
They've been through wind and weather and are still perfectly fine. Using them everyday to and from work.
