Need help finding laptop for I.T. courses

I'll be majoring in I.T. this coming semester and one of the things I'll need is a laptop with an Intel dual core processor, 500gb HDD, and 8 gigs of RAM. I've been looking over the internet to find a laptop with these requirements, however I'm only finding laptops with at most 4 gigs of RAM instead of the 8 that I'll need. Do any of you know if there's any laptops with any room where I can put some RAM sticks inside the laptop or any that sell at retail with 8 gigs already installed? Any help would be much appreciated.
