Need help for home made speaker

Hello everyone,

I was thinking on making a home made speaker since I'm using my dad's JBL Flip for a long time alredy and it's not mine

I got all the parts I need (I think) so I'm here to ask if the parts I chose are going to work or not.
The case is going to be hand made
I chose the speaker to be Bluetooth and Line In with a battery pack.
I was thinking in placing the 4 batterys in series (14.8v) and use that Step Down module to get 5V and connect my bluetooth drive and solder 2 more cables for the sound amplifier.

EDIT: Can anyone tell me what that "Speaker" hole on the amplifier does? I'm a bit confused with it. ty

You seem to have sorted everything quite very well.

It is not a speaker hole. It is just a hole (total of 3 actually) for mounting screw.
The speaker and power supply terminal pins are beside it.

So youre saying I can order everything like it is from ebay and mount it on a pcb and a case? No need to extra parts or changes on the choosen ones?

Btw, is it going to be a good speaker? Like the JBL Flip?

Well, it has 2" speakers. If you want anything better you may try a 2.1 speaker system. But that complicates the project.

Well, it has 2" speakers. If you want anything better you may try a 2.1 speaker system. But that complicates the project.

My JBL Flip works with 12V, that's probably why it's 100€ compared to my project (20-30€).
My teacher has a JBL Flip 2 and it uses a 5V charger, so I think my project is alright. Just a question, putting the batterys in series to get 14,8v asks for a 19V (just a guess) charger or does a 5V charger work? Since they are 3.7V each.
A 12V amplifier is a bit expensive and more complicated so I think the 5V one is fine.
I could do a 2.1 system but I don't really need it since the speakers I chose are advertised with "Good bass" or something like that.

So, I found a step UP converter that does 3V/3.3V/3.7V/4.2V to 5V which I can connect my 3.7V batterys to and get 5V.

Each cell is 5300 mAh. That's 5.3 Ah. Paralleling 4 together 5.3Ahx4 = 21.2 Ah.

Your amplifier is class d, so it should be quite efficient. Especially during idle and low power it should consume very little.
You may get by using less than 4 batteries unless you want the charge to last quite a long time.

The step up converter you have found has about 1.5A typical / 2A max capacity.
It would be better ifyou find one with ~3A capacity to be on the safe side.

Honestly, we all know those batterys aren't 5300mah, theyre chinese xD. They are probabkly 2000 or 3000mah so I think 4 is good for 3-6 hours of audio

I talked to my dad and he said I should make this speaker another way, so here it is.

Ill buy 2 Amplifier boards, 4 5W speakers, same batterys, same BT, same Step Up module and this port for AUX.

Will the batterys hold the power needed? I always have a powerbank if I need to put in more power until I order more batterys. Thank you

Adding a 3.5mm headphone jack for aux is a good idea for direct cable hook ups. But you don't necessarily need a second set of amps and speakers. What you would need in that case is an input switch to select bluetooth or aux.

You can select a 3-position switch if you want...
A- On and bluetooth in
Center- Off
B- On and aux in...
This switch can also be your on/off switch. It should have enough poles to switch input and battery.
