Hello everyone,

I was thinking on making a home made speaker since I'm using my dad's JBL Flip for a long time alredy and it's not mine 😛

I got all the parts I need (I think) so I'm here to ask if the parts I chose are going to work or not.
The case is going to be hand made :)
I chose the speaker to be Bluetooth and Line In with a battery pack.
I was thinking in placing the 4 batterys in series (14.8v) and use that Step Down module to get 5V and connect my bluetooth drive and solder 2 more cables for the sound amplifier.
Thank you all for your help

EDIT: Can anyone tell me what that "Speaker" hole on the amplifier does? I'm a bit confused with it. ty

Solution
I would have preferred to use an amplifier that works with 12V so that it can be powered directly from the battery and not over-tax the 5V step-down converter.

I hope the input sensitivity of the amplifier is suitable to the analog output of the bluetooth adapter. You have to try and see...

Is it going to be a good speaker? I haven't used JBL Flip...
Well, it has 2" speakers. If you want anything better you may try a 2.1 speaker system. But that complicates the project.
Ooops! I made a mistake...
For on/off switch spdt switch in your link is OK.

But for input selection you need a dpdt type of that switch. Seperate poles for Left and Right channels.
Similar to this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5X-DPDT-ON-ON-2-Position-Mini-Toggle-Switch-6-Pin-Momentary-Switches-6A-125V-AC-/331529903756?hash=item4d30b8de8c:g:RogAAOSweW5VLOJY

Similarly if you wish to use 3 position combined aux/off/bt switch the correct circuit diagram would be http://postimg.org/image/5uxiq8trf/
(seperate poles for L&R channels)

In your circuit diagram only two wires come from aux and bt. I assume one wire is live side and the other screen (earth).

Since you use two amplifier channels and have a pair of speakers you are constructing a stereo speaker system.
In a stereo setup there are either four conductors:
1. Live wire Left channel
2. Earth (screen)
3. Live wire Right channel
4. Earth (screen)
Or more commonly, as in your setup:
1. Live wire Left channel
2. Common Earth (screen)
3. Live wire Right channel

In your circuit diagram you have used a single pole double throw switch and paralled the amplifier channels (red lines).

Both aux and bt have 3 conductor terminals. You connect the earth (screen) directly to minus line. The other 2 lines, one left, other right channel live wires should go to the input selector with separate poles (dpdt). And the 2 center terminals should go to their corresponding left and right channel amplifiers.

Google "wiring 3.5mm stereo jack" and you'll see 3 wire wiring examples.

I talked to my dad and yes, you are right. I would be right if I was using mono on my speakers, which I'm not :)

I'll wait for all the parts to arrive and mount the speaker. I'll tell you when I make it. Thank you for all your help dude :)

Congratulations!

Thank you! The speaker is done! I did it with my dad and it turned out a really good speaker! My mom loved it so much she even asked me to buy parts to make another 1 xD! Here I go in more work hahaaa
