Need help getting a fairly cheap laptop for university

Hi

I will be starting university shortly, and need to pick up a laptop, preferably for around £200 (or less).

I only need it for essay writing, watching livestreams and video ect, no gaming or anything like that.

I would prefer it to be 15''-16'', but I don't mind a great deal about hard drive size, blueray drive or portability, but a decent battery life and screen would be nice.

Again, I'm just looking for something cheap and cheerful, but I'm a little lost as to what to buy!

£200 is an extremely limited budget for a laptop. I do not live in the UK, but the following 15.6" Asus X551MAV with a Celeron N2840 Atom CPU, 4GB of RAM and 500GB hard drive is the best I can find. It's not great, but it fits in your budget. I also provided a link to a review.

The following is the least expensive 15.6" laptop sold at dabs.com with a Core i3 CPU for £290. Yes, it is more expensive, but it is also more powerful, likely powerful enough to get you through university without having too much complaints about having a slow laptop.
