Need help in choosing laptop

Ok so price doesn't matter I own both of these. I need help choosing which one is better cause that one I will be putting a 500 gb ssd and installing windows 10.

Do you use these 2 equally? And what kind of work/gaming do you do on them? I would install the SSD in the laptop that I used the most. Or if you have one that you shut down more often, you could install it in that one since boot/shut-down speeds are much quicker.

Another thing to add... have you checked both ASUS' and Toshiba's support pages to see if there are Windows 10 drivers available now? That may make the decision easier.

I will need to know what you are planning to do with the laptop? Also I don't think asus has any windows 10 drivers as I couldn't find any for my model.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I have a Vaio and Sony even had a press release (think it was on Tom's homepage for a bit) that they wouldn't have updates until October 🙁

It will most likely be used for college courses.

The toshibas hard drive failed and the asus has viruses on it but can fix the toshiba with a ssd and the asus can easily be fixed by wiping the hard drives and doing a clean os install so I dint use either of them at the moment

If you don't have the repair disk for your Toshiba and assuming your Windows 7 key is still legible, you can just download the Windows 7 Home Premium ISO and mount it on a USB drive (if you have one big enough) or burn it to a dvd. No matter what you do, to get Windows 10 free, you have to upgrade it from a working Windows 7 or 8 machine.

Oh ok I didn't know that I thought the windows 7 key could only be used once period not as many times as you want on the same computer if thats what your saying

Ok so still choice for ssd install toshiba or asus im thinking toshiba because it beats the asus in everything but a dedicated graphics card and then repair and sell asus

Correct, you don't lose the license for Windows just because the hard drive dies. When you start swapping out CPU's and motherboards, then you start to run into trouble re-using keys. Since you're using this for college I would agree and put the SSD in the Toshiba.
