Need Help Picking a laptop

Hello Everyone,

I am going to college this year and need to pick a laptop. My budget is between 1000$ 1500$.
I want something that can easily do my school work, but more importantly be able to play games very well. My course is nothing to do with editing so the cpu can probably take the backseat to the gpu.
