I have a rca tv and my tv is not a smart tv but it is not a box can I use a app to connect to my rv as a remote still? If so what app can I use I have a iPhone

If you are asking if you can use your phone as a remote for the TV, as long as your phone has an IR blaster capability, it should work. Any TV remote app should be OK to try. If you are asking if you can connect your iPhone to the TV to view the iPhone screen, there are options for that also https
