Hi,

So a week ago a friend came to my place asking me to repair his usb headphones for him, he said that the left ear had no sound coming from it.

I unscrewed the left headphone ear and sure enough, the wires connecting the left headphone to the body were cut. here are some pictures:

I know i need to solder the wires back to their solder points but i don't know which point I'm suppose to solder them to.

Also I don't know if they have some kind of insulation on them...

Any help would be appreciated!

So what you're saying is that I need to open this up:

nope but close see the wire going up the middle of this picture to the other plastic peice that's you unscrewed

Expose two wires inside of it (I'm pretty sure there are more than two wires inside of it...) and connect these:

yes connect these two wires to the two wires inside the black wire I'm reffering to above

To those two wires inside of the black wire. Are you sure of this? Because I thought I was suppose to connect the two wires coming from the left ear (in pic just above) to the two soldering...

in the last pick I can see the black wire that comes off the circuit board and goes over to the coverplate you removed on that side. you need to split the open the outer black part an expose the two wires inside of it. and connect the two wires from the speaker to the two wires in it. (that blue coating over the wires fyi is inslation so you need to scrap it off only at the end where you solder it. do you understand this?? kinda of hard to expain when I'm not there.

I'm not sure what those two soldering points go to as you pictures are a little hard to trace the wires but if those two points connect to to the wire I am referring to then that would be ok.
