Question Need help with BSOD error STORAGE_EXCEPTION

I have a BSOD issue with my laptop (Dell XPS 15 9550). It blue screens and gives me an error which varies between unexpected_storage_exception and another error(forgot what it was haven't gotten it in a while). For a while it happened whenever, but now it has stopped blue screening whenever I have my laptop plugged in. The blue screens are also very inconsistent, so some days it won't blue screen at all or on some days blue screen up to 3 times. But like I said, if I have it plugged in it works consistently.
Its a used laptop. I've already replaced the battery and wireless card but I doubt that would have caused the problems.
Any ideas on what I could try to fix this?

check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool
check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

also you can try repairing/checking windows:
type in the command shell “DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth”

while you replaced hardware, is the HDD still connected properly to the motherboard?
