I've had my current laptop for two years and it's been the biggest disappointment ever. It's a Toshiba Satellite L855-S5119 and it's had problems only a few months after I got it. I'm tired of dealing with it. So, I'm looking for a laptop that's goid for regular college use and casual gaming. For the most part, I'm on the Internet, have multiple tabs open for long periods of time, and using Word a lot, but I would like to play games like Mass Effect and Skyrim every now and then. I'd like the laptop to last several years. Since I'm a junior in college, I don't want to spend a whole lot of money. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Try to outfit your PC with at least 8GB of RAM and budget for 32GB if you're truly serious about freeing up this potential performance bottleneck. Faster memory (DDR3-2133/DDR4-2133 or better) also improves performance and lets you overclock your CPU with greater stability.
