need opinions on free antivirus

I ordered the parts for my pc and it should be up and running on wednesday. I need serious help with anti virus. Every computer ive had in the past have been rendered useless from viruses. Do i need multiple softwares? Whats the best free software? Thanks

I just use microsoft security essentials. Stop clicking every thing you see, take a second to read things and read the web address under the description when you do a search. 99.99% of viruses are avoidable if you took ten seconds to read what you were opening.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0(recommended) or
Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition

Good free antivirus programs are Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG is good for those clinging to Windows XP, and a program you should add with your antivirus, whether it be free or not, is SpyBot Search and Destroy. it is great for ridding computer of Trojans.
AVG does not do anything ,other than notify you of a virus, with the free program.
