Need some help with camera surveillance

Hi guys,i have a question for you.My dad has a small firm and he wants to put a few cameras (2-4) to record at night but we are not sure what do we need.Can anyone help me out and tell me what kind of cameras do i need(they must be able to record all night and i guess in dark,and not too expensive xD),cables,software or what ever so that i can connect them to my computer and record the footage.Hope you understood me xD Thanks.

The cheaper solution is to go with webcams that support infrared and a software to go with it. You don't want USB ones as you will have a problem with USB cables that can't run more than 10m (even that is more than the recommended). You should go with Wireless one or if you want cables, go with ethernet ones.
