Need the opposite of a audio/mic splitter?

I recently was given a pair of headphones with an inline mic that have a single jack to plug into my desktop. Due to there only being 1 jack, i'm unable to access the microphone as my desktop doesn't have any audio+mic combination ports like a phone/tablet/laptop would have. Is there an adapter I can get to bypass this and be able to use the mic?
