Need to decide on a new headset

My old headset (an Alienware TactX (reskined Steelseries 5H)) broke, and I need a new one.

I'm looking at the Logitech G930, Razer SWTOR Headset, and Steelseries 7H. For reference, I use onboard audio for the Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H (http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-128-544) (which is VIA VT2021). I'm leaning towards the G930, but am hesitant due to the lack of "true" surround sound. What should I get?

I have answered this question no less than 10 times in the last week..... if ya scroll to the bottom of the page, you will probably find most of the threads. I liek the G930 out of everything I ha e used from $25 cheapos to $350 Sennheisers

The surround sound while playing titles such as: Hard Rest, Skyrim, Crysis 2 and Metro 2033 delivered a tremendous audio experience. The surround sound alone will immerse you with bullets flying past your ears to the softest of distant footsteps or enemy chatter. Watching sporting events and movies with native surround sound was also a feast for the ears.

Well from what I heard, the virtual surround sound isn't as good as "true" analog surround sound.

pretty sure the correct answer is. Get a stand alone headphone and a 5$ clipon mic

"gaming" gear tends to be shit, headphones are no exception.
