Need to restore my toshiba satellite c855 s5349N windows 8, my daughter and i got both at same time but hers came with recover

I have a toshiba satellite c855 S5349N windows 8, at this moment it is erasing the hard disk in the toshiba recovery wizard. my daughter has a different kind of toshiba, hers came with the recovery and application/drivers satellite L300 series disk, can i use those or do i have to restore from my own laptop?

Unless your laptop is the same model you won't be able to use the same disks as hers. Your system did not have a restore partition? Or a utility to make backup disks to restore it?

Actually, i tried it and it didn't work, oh and i don't believe that it did, i bought it over 8 years ago. Stubborn as I am, I created a recovery drive with a USB because the laptop i have now doesn't have a dvd/cd compartment. Now when the F keys don't work except the F12, I go to HDD recovery and a bluish screen with black dots comes out. I think its doing something but i have no idea. Oh, and I forgot to mention a long time ago when it did go out, it was during an upgrade and it turns out it was messing the partitions.
