Possibly trading my gaming computer for a netbook.

Can a netbook run utorrent in the background and play a movie with VLC media player hooked up to an external source? Mostly my 19 inch widescreen...

This is the netbook in question

acer aspire one d250

Also, how many tabs can you have open?

Is there like a netbook emulator or simulator to test how they would run?

Not really a good trade.

2) Can a netbook run utorrent in the background and play a movie with VLC media player hooked up to an external source? Mostly my 19 inch widescreen...
Should be able to...

3) This is the netbook in question: acer aspire one d250
Yup, that is a netbook.

4) Also, how many tabs can you have open?
As many as you want.

5) Is there like a netbook emulator or simulator to test how they would run?
Try one at your local big box retailer.
As long as the CPU, chipset and ammount of RAM are the same, it will give you the same feeling.

Thanks for the info and I will try a couple.

My gaming computer can only run crysis at medium 1440x900 and lags a little. Max out BF2 and only lag when artillery or jets bombs. play GTA4 on complete minimum and still lag but playable so around 25fps+

I'm going to be 24 soon and I figured I would stop playing video games. Most people hack on games anyways.

Getting old is no reason to give up gaming :p

Regardless, no matter how slow your current system is when gaming, it is massively more powerful than a netbook in all usage scenarios.
The only advantage the netbook has is portability.
