NetBook for use with 1080p 24" monitor?

Hi Forum,
I am thinking of using a netbook (chromebook) with my HD monitor. I would like to have a 12" light weight unit, but could live with a 3lb 13".
I need at least 4gb ram for heavy web surfing and stock trading.
Does such an animal exist?

There are many linux distros that copy chrome os and can be installed on windows pcs or you could run Ubuntu if your looking for a lightweight browsing based OS.
