One of the best new features of Netflix is the ability to save or download movies. With this feature, offline viewing is possible without a constant internet connection. But what if you want to locate the files? This guide will show you where the default download location is for all of the movies and television shows.
1. Open File Explorer
From the taskbar, open file explorer.
2. Go To Into Options
At the top of the screen, select “View”. Then to the top right of the screen select “Options”. A folder options menu will pop up.
3. Select The View Tab
At the top of the menu there will be several tabs. Select “View”, then look under the “Files and Folders” options.
4. Show Hidden Files
If it isn’t already selected, click “Show Hidden files, folders, and drives. It is a sub-option of “Files and Folders” under “Hidden files and folders”. Make sure to select okay and the menu will close out.
5. Navigate To The User Folder
After the menu closes out, you should be back at the file explorer screen with your listed drives. Click on the address bar at the top and copy and paste this (without quotes) “C:\Users\” and press enter.
6. Select Your Username
Open the folder with your current username. If you choose the wrong folder, then the final might not work correctly.
7. Go Directly To The Download Folder
Copy and paste this into the address bar in the explorer window (without quotes) “AppData\Local\Packages\4DF9E0F8.Netflix_mcm4njqhnhss8\LocalState\offlineInfo\downloads” and press enter. You’ll go directly to the Netflix download directory!
